Peace Centre
The Peace Centre was build in 2002 by the Archdiocese of Guwahati. The Peace Centre will go a long way not only in promoting peace, but also for bringing well-being in the region, the chief Minister of Assam Tarun Gogai had said in his inaugural address. He also commended the creative efforts of Archbishop Thomas to the cause of peace in the region.
The five-floor Peace Centre is a symbol of the church’s commitment to peace in the Northeast India greatly disturbed by ethnic violence and political tension, said Archbishop.
